KVD (Ken Venturi Design)
The first iron ever created by TaylorMade - design inspired by Ken Venturi.
The first TaylorMade iron to feature a rounded camber sole and lower center of gravity.
Tour Preferred TD
Players iron look, featuring a hollow head construction on the 1 thru 4 irons for added perimeter weighting and improved forgiveness on mis-hits, where golfers need it the most
Began developing 2 sets of irons - one for the better player (ICW 5) and one for the everyday player (ICW 11). Both featured progressive offset throughout the set.
ICW Mid Tour
Featured a unique foam-filled club head for added weight distribution around the perimeter, we also enlarged the "sweet spot" for added forgiveness.
Burner Bubble Oversized
The definition of progressive - the club head, offset and lie angle were designed to provide workability in the mid to short irons and more forgiveness in the longer irons.
Burner Bubble Tour
The iron that helped win two majors in 1996 was also the first iron to gain mass adoption on the PGA Tour.
Ti Bubble 2
Introduction of multi-materials in irons with the use of a tungsten/copper weight to lower the CG to help increase launch angle - a key to unlocking more distance in irons.
Expanded multi-material usage — Titanum long irons with tungsten sole weights adds forgiveness and launch, steel mid-irons with tungsten heel/toe weights increase the sweet spot and add stability, and nickel short irons promote softer feel.
Designed 3 club head sizes for a variety of golfer preferences. Progressive center of gravity throughout the set provides optimal ball flight and an impact pad behind the sweet spot promotes increased ball speed.
RAC Technology managed impact energy and vibration to dramatically improve sound and feel.
Features an improved Tuned Performance Cartridge that saves 32 grams of weight to dramatically increase MOI and improve the center of gravity placement for increased forgiveness and launch.
Introduction of Inverted Cone Technology (ICT) delivers higher ball speed and increased distance. Dampening web throughout the cavity designed to deliver soft-yet-solid feel at impact.
R7 CGB Max
Large, high-strength steel club face that's thin, flexible and fast for extreme distance. Designed with ICT to expand the high COR zone for higher ball speed on mis-hits, equalling more distance.
The birth of the modern day distance iron. With dramatically improved SuperFast Technology including an inverted cone, a multi-functional sole, and multi-material cavity badge, these irons delivered longer, better feeling, and more consistent distance.
Redesigned, thinner face for increased COR to promote faster ball speeds. Optimized CG placement throughout the set enables optimum launch.
RocketBladezDid you know that Justin Rose was the first player to win a major, 2013 U.S. Open, using the an iron that featured the Speed Pocket?
Years spent searching for a way to deliver consistent distance on all shots led to the introduction of the revolutionary Speed Pocket, which protects ball speed on shots struck low on the face.
RSi 1Did you know that Jason Day was the first player to win a major, 2015 PGA Championship, using Face Slot technology?
Introducing Face Slot Technology - The next evolution in performance technology protects ball speed when struck towards the heel and toe.
